<hi style=afpcap>The Douglas C-33 was one of several military versions of the DC-2. The C-33 itself was a upgraded C-32 with an enlarged fin. These were purchased in small numbers for the Army Air Corps with the designation C-32, C-33, C-34, and C-39 applied. The example depicted was the third of 18 C-33s purchased with funding from fiscal year 1936.</hi>
